Audrey Horne (7/10)
Start 20:00 / End 20:40
The band Audrey Horne opened an evening composed of three bands where it was for sure hard to choose the play order and the headliners. Audrey Horne offered a nice show with their catchy modern version of Classic Metal, Judas Priest-style. The songs are full of great riffs and greatly played solos, and the singer enjoyed himself singing in the audience and the audience returned the energy and the enthusiasms even if he had an “Italian restaurant” tablecloth as shirt!
Solstafir (8/10)
Start 21:00 / End 21:45
The band who should have been the real headliner of the evening didn’t disappoint the fans expectations and performed a high quality concert. I saw them one year ago in a pagan metal festival here in Berlin and I was excited too. Their post-metal style with aggressive guitar and screamed vocals presented in a western dresscode, is something peculiar and it’s worth to be experienced live. I would had liked to have some anticipation of the new material but it doesn’t matter, we’ll be waiting for it anxiously!
Long Distance Calling (7/10)
Start 22:10 / End 23:44
The band plays a curious mix of Post-Rock and Alternative Metal in a progressive sauce. The long almost
completely instrumental songs started with just some sounds to develop then in structured melodies ending in a crescendo of blasting music flood. They played songs of the brand-new album “The Flood Inside” and their style acquires more energy and taste in the live performance than on the album. It was nice indeed, but they still miss something compared to the big ones.
