B/B/S (7/10)
Start 21:10 / End 21:40
Another side project of the Nadja’s mind, Aidan Baker, along with Caudal (click here to read the review of Caudal’s concert just one week ago) and some others. B/B/S played a 30 min set of uninterrupted experimental Drone Noise flow, similar to the latest Oneida’s stuff. The trio gave the impression to improvise freely into specific pattern, and what came out was really interesting, above all when they pushed harder on drums. Something to surely keep an eye on.
Oneida (8/10)
Start 22:10 / End 23:30
Describing Oneida’s sound is not easy at all. The band is now touring to celebrate its 15 years of activity, in which Oneida released differentiated albums, touching and merging different music genres, such as Noise rock, Drone and Psychedelic rock, always achieving remarkable results. I was pretty curious about what I would receive from this concert: the band´s new album “A List of the Burning Mountains” features just two songs, both about 20 min long, which move close to Experimental Psychedelic Rock sounds. We could not have asked any better than what Oneida offered us during the show: the band played whatever the fuck they wanted, mixing all their typical genres together, favoring more Rock oriented songs, but without sparing the Psychedelic Drone parts. On stage the band was completely out of mind, and the proposed show surely didn’t bore anyone of the presents. A cult the setlists written on plastic plates. And yes, with Oneida is always friday night!!!
