Bleed From Within (6/10)
Start 20:00 / End 20:30
The Deathcore band from Scotland started warming our ears. Bleed from Within’s sound differs from the one of the other bands of the evening, being more influenced by Hardcore than the rest. Despite the fact that the venue wasn’t yet full and the older part of the audience wasn’t particularly involved in the show, Bleed from Within didn’t spare itself and offered us a nice performance. Even though I’m not a big fan of this genre, and this band doesn’t present an original sound, I have to admit that I enjoyed very much its show. Interesting trick by the singer: spitting in the air and catching it back directly with his mouth.

Dew-Scented (7/10)
Start 20:50 / End 21:30
Dew-Scented played with the feeling of almost being home, since the band comes from a city nearby. It plays the main music theme of evening, Thrash Metal, but also strongly contaminated by Death Metal. The band who released all of its albums with names beginning with the letter “I”, never impressed me much, due to its lack of originality on the sound proposal side. But it is a completely different story when it plays live. Dew-Scented created an amazing show with clear sound, and let the audience headbang from the first minute till the end. My neck is still hurting.

Testament (8/10)
Start 22:05 / End 23:35
Eric Peterson. Greg Christian. Alex Skolnick. Chuck Billy. Gene Hoglan. Just one of these names is enough to let you buy the ticket. This is the band you’ll put in your son’s hi-fi when he’ll ask you: dad, what’s Thrash Metal?? Testament has made the history of Thrash Metal, from mid-80s to today the band has always proposed high-quality albums with just some minor steps during the 90s. The band has had its evolution in this Metal style, although always keeping their trademark. Testament has gone through line-up changeS, cancers and many other difficulties, that seem to have made the band stronger and able to offer this kind of amazing showS today in 2013, when most of the criticS said this genre should be dead since more than 20 years. If you want to know more about the gig, take a look at the pics and at the setlist of the tour, and don’t forget to buy the ticket when Testament will be in town again, it’s worth just to see Gene Hoglan playing live “D.N.R. (Do Not Resuscitate)”.
