Goose On Fire (6/10)
Start 21:05 / End 21:35
Goose On Fire is a young German band, which plays an Indie Rock, while strongly winking to Pop. Nothing original, but the band offered catchy songs, which entertained the dozen of people composing the audience yesterday evening. Respect to Goose On Fire, because it’s not simple to play in an empty venue after getting the gig the very same morning of the performance.
PAWS (7/10)
Start 22:00 / End 22:40
The band PAWS (all written in capital letters) comes from Scotland and it is among the new sensations of the current Indie Rock scene. PAWS’ sound is fresh, fast and melodic, with the resemblance to some grungy/punk sonorities. This mix makes the band’s songs irresistible. You can imagine PAWS as the sons of a drunken night where Dinosaur Jr met Nirvana on the backseat of an old car. The album cover is also worth a mention: a drawing of a young girl reminding of the ’90s Rock scene, when Indie Rock and Grunge dominated the stages. On the stage PAWS was exactly how you expected it: raw and powerful; not many words but a lot of substance. If you don’t know PAWS, take some minutes to listen to this band’s songs, which come as a slap on the face: I promise it’s worth it. PAWS isn’t well-known yet, but if it continues releasing this kind of stuff, the big success is just a matter of time!
