Harmony Molina (6/10)
Start 20:40 / End 21:00
Harmony Molina opened the evening very nicely: alone with his electric guitar, sitting on a chair in the middle of the stage, he successfully entertained the audience. His music reminded of a sort of freaky Scott Matthew, but with more sense of humor and less melancholy. Very nice 20 minutes to get in the right mood for the evening.

Scout Niblett (9/10)
Start 21:20 / End 22:30
The connection between Emma Louise and Berlin is, with no doubts, something special: she doesn’t miss a chance to play in this city, and fans respond to this love with sold out gigs. Some ticketless fans struggled for weeks in order to find second-hand tickets in the social networks for the already sold out event. Just a few months ago Scout Niblett played here at Volksbühne, while this time she chose the Privatclub, which enables fans and artists to build a more intimate atmosphere. Scout Niblett came on stage silently, with the voices of people chatting as background, until she started playing guitar with her typical touch, full of grace and rage. Alone on stage for the first 10 minutes of the show, the audience gave the impression of being almost unable to react to such beauty: it admired her silently, to then explode at the end of each song. When the entire band was eventually on stage things became pretty loud, for the joy of the attendees, with drums and an additional guitar enhancing the performance. It’s incredible to think about the strength of the energy and power which is able to come out from such a graceful creature as Ms Niblett is, just using a guitar and her amazing voice as tools. More aggressive than Patti Smith, more Rocker than Cat Woman and more elegant than Courtney Love, nowadays it’s really hard to find a proper comparison to what Scout Niblett does. Able to start from Indie Rock, switch to Folk pieces, add some Doom passages (doomer than many others) Scout Niblett was strongly influenced by the Grunge scene and she fully shows it in her work. The show was something really unique, variegated, always entertaining, and of which the stoned audience asked always more. Rumor has it that another gig is planned in Berlin in a short time. Don’t miss it for anything.
