Orange Goblin (8/10)
Start 20:15 / End 21:20
Orange Goblin is an English band, formed in 1995, that proposes a quite variegated Stoner Rock sound. With a new album “Back From The Abyss”, out just one month ago through Candlelight Records, Orange Goblin has the chance to enlarge its fan base, supporting now Saint Vitus in tour. Once on stage, the fans in the first lines were already warm and Orange Goblin energized the audience with a powerful and heavy mix of Stoner, Hard Rock, Space Rock and Doom. It´s hard to define a more-than-one-hour show just an opening act: Orange Goblin, captained by the colossal Ben Ward, offered a great performance, that once finished, let the audience scream “We want more!!!” for some minutes! After receiving songs as “They Come Back (Harvest of Skulls)”, “Quincy the Pigboy” and “Red Tide Rising”, it’s really hard to get enough of this! Orange Goblin just plays at home in Berlin.

Saint Vitus (8/10)
Start 21:45 / End 23:15
For every Doom lover, Saint Vitus doesn’t need any presentation: starting at the end of the 70s, the American band is counted among the pioneers of this Metal style and the tour for its 35th birthday anniversary is simply a must for every music fan. Despite of several line-up changes during the years, Saint Vitus, now with the evergreen Scott “Wino” Weinrich on the vocals, is still live and its latest album “Lillie: F-65” was released about two years ago on Season On Mist. The performance confirmed again, even if it wasn’t necessary, the majesty of this band with so many years on its shoulder. Henry Vasquez showed to be a valid replacement for Acosta (RIP), Wino made its part without exceeding, but Dave Chandler was really a showman in party mood, singing in playback, speaking to the audience and playing his guitar in all possible ways. Presenting a very appreciated selection of song from its career, Saint Vitus passed from the epic “Let Them Fall” to the almost Punk “White Stallions”, to close the set before the encore with the Doom manifesto “Born Too Late”. A double encore, also featured by the hymn “Saint Vitus” put the word End to an amazing concert that confirmed Saint Vitus obviously among the top Doom bands in the scene!
