And the Golden Choir (6/10)
Start 20:00 / End 20:40
And the Golden Choir is a German one man band that was called at the last minute to open the evening. Although the chatting in the background was continuous and annoying, he managed to create with his songs an intimate atmosphere. Helped by a warm voice with a catchy timbre, he played his set using different instruments at disposal on the stage: he switched easily from the guitar, to the organ or the xylophone, always keeping the quality of the songwriting relative high. In the end a nice choice as opening act for Perfume Genius.

Perfume Genius (8/10)
Start 21:05 / End 22:20
Perfume Genius is the moniker of the Seattle artist Mike Hadreas, under that has reached a worldwide popularity. His latest and third work “Too Bright” was released only a couple of month ago, obtaining extreme positive critic feedback and increasing his already quite large fan base. The screams and applause that exploded when Mike came to the stage, just confirmed the love of the audience for this artist. Like an androgynous angel, beyond any kind of sexual characterization, Perfume Genius opened with “My Body” and followed with “Take Me Home”, one of the most favourite of the audience. Really interesting the cover “Body’s In Trouble” of Mary Margareth O’Hara where Mike screamed out his hearth. The setlist picked songs from all three albums, proposing a set of refined mix of Indie Pop, New Wave and Dream Pop. Sometimes accompanied by his band, sometimes alone sit on the keyboard, the result at the end didn’t change: Perfume Genius is one of the few artists today able to compose fragile and brutally honest songs, elegant songs with sexual bittersweet nuances, that can start a catharsis in the listeners.
