zZz (7/10)
Start 21:00 / End 21:35
zZz comes from the Amsterdam and is composed by Björn Ottenheim and Daan Schinkel, who together formed the project in 2001. The band has just released its new work “Juggernaut” and the opening set was a perfect occasion to present it live. The duo, with just drums and keyboard on stage, offered an interesting and intense performance of danceable Psychedelic Rock with same 80s dark New Wave influences. The audience responded very positively, dancing on the groove created by zZz and showing to appreciate the show with several applauses to the Dutch band.

A Place To Bury Strangers (8/10)
Start 22:00 / End 23:10
A Place To Bury Strangers, often shorted in APTBS, is an American band based in New York, that formed in 2002. The main mind behind this music project is Oliver Ackermann, and together with Dion Lunadon on bass guitar and the new entry Robi Gonzalez on drums composes the current line-up of APTBS. The American band released its fifth album “Transfixiation” last February on Dead Oceans and now is involved in a long European tour, where the Berlin date couldn’t miss. The trio didn’t disappoint the expectations at all: with a relative short concert of about one hour APTBS confirmed to deserve the earned epithet of NYC’s loudest band. The show was an intense, atmospheric and genuinely chaotic wall-of-sound where Psychedelic Rock, Noise Rock, Shoegaze and Space Rock merged together to generate its peculiar sound that has become today the trademark of the American band. Before leaving the stage Oliver and Dion took their instrumentation, jumped down the stage and started playing in the middle of the venue among the fans that left themselves abandon into the psychedelic flux. After a long pause with the lights on, that made think to some people that the show was over, APTBS came back for one song encore for the high enthusiasm of the audience. In the end a live show that it’s just a must for every Rock lovers.
